About Game Mode
Recently, I watch live stream, which I found out there have 2 Options which show the (Speed Run Mode and the Beast Mode) in the Menu's option. So What kind of these 2 modes to play?

Speed Run sounds obvious, beat the game in a certain amount of time.

Beast Mode I have no clue. Maybe you cannot get health upgrades or something like that? Possibly hard mode? Have no idea TBH.

Speed run just adds a clock. It doesn't actually do anything else. Beast mode is a secret :3

Wiki says that Beastmode doesn't do anything. It only unlocks an achievement and the Bait Launcher if you beat the game with it on.

Ratchethero is a tester. So my bet is he's more informed than the wiki.

My take was that he just wanted to keep the secret that it does nothing a secret.

This thread is from when Gungeon was brand new and all the information about the game wasn't known yet.

actually, what beast mode does is you take whole hearts of damage instead of half, and you get way more casings

From my experience in Beastmode, enemies from later floors will appear on earlier floors, making it harder. Also, more jammed enemies appear without actually increasing your curse. So let's say you're on floor 1, you may find some veteran shotgun kins or the like. I like turning on beastmode and also praying to the statue in the start room, every room I run into has at least a few jammed enemies and makes for a really challenging experience. Never tried Speedrun though, I'd take these fellas word for it

At first i thought the same, also that bullet speed is a bit faster but i have 210 hours and probably 160 i played in beast mode and i can confirm that i won't get any jammed enemies when i don't increase my curse (but later floors can spawn jammed enemies naturally), also the fact that later enemies will appear in earlier floors is a general thing when you play the game and unlock more stuff.

Beastmode is only trolling and mocking other games - as it seems you really just unlock the Bait Launcher with beastmode.
