in-game item descriptions ?

hi there, is there a tool or setting I missed that describes what items do in more detail. there are mods for isaac that do this. As Im new, it's kinda tediious to open the wiki or the Ammonomicon. thx

I hope there's a mod, probably?

I love this game, like a LOT. But this is definitely really dumb and a very bad habit many of these games have. Further, items in a store or when picking them up should have a description, not just a name... it's just a weird pain for no reason.
