Best guns you've come across?

Having tried out about 50% of the guns in the game, thought I'd list some of the best ones I've come across. Overall I'm liking the weapons and gunplay a lot, most weapons seem useful and fun to use. The few ones I'm not a huge fan of typically require you to charge up the gun before firing (e.g. Lil' Bomber, BSG). Anyway, the best ones I've seen so far:

- AU Gun. Insane damage pistol, but only 22 (or something along those lines) shots. Allowed me to kill the 3rd level tank boss without getting hit, and nearly beat the 4th level boss on the same run (was my first time fighting that boss). Perfect boss killer.

- Shock Rifle. Great for sniping since it's an instant-hit weapon and extremely accurate and high damage.

- Proton Backpack. The ghostbusters gun, great for dealing with large groups of enemies, not much aiming required. Made the 4th level feel almost easy (until the boss murdered me).

- Colt 1851. Pistol that fires multiple shots at once, feels very powerful and fun to use.

- The Scrambler (I think it was this one). Just spamming it around will create bullets that automatically home in enemies. Great for tough rooms.

Megahand (Mega man arm) is one of my favs thus far. Essentially 1-2 shots most enemies when charged and comes with an insane 300 ammo count. On top of that the clip size is quite large considering and has one of the fastest reloads I've seen.

Yeah! The purple one like a jack in the box with the song lol. I had that once but it didn't seem too strong to me.

I'm going to have to list Crestfaller[enterthegungeon.gamepedia.com] here as possibly the best level clearing weapon I've come across. Snipery type of weapon with lots of ammo, and it freezes enemies (1 shot seems to be enough almost always). Every time I go to bullet hell with the crestfaller I end up taking barely any damage during the level. You can just freeze and kill the biggest threats before they even get a chance to fire.

Megahand[enterthegungeon.gamepedia.com] and Heroine[enterthegungeon.gamepedia.com] are two very similar charged weapons that are awesome for level clearing as well.

I haven't gotten a great many, but there are a few I liked.

The Demon Head is quite a good one, not just for the steady beam which is highly reliable to hit, but also the Shadow Warrior reference. Kind of a fan of that game.

The Vertibrae K-47 is a lovely piece. First time I ever managed to take down Gatling Gull was with that thing. (In case you couldn't tell, I'm not terribly good at this game yet and have not yet managed to get past level 2).

Finally, because I have not yet gotten a lot of guns that do quite a bit of damage per shot, I quite like the crossbow that the hunter comes with. It's just a really nice starting piece if you've got good aim.

The polaris is a good gun. It kicks ass at any stage of the game. I just wish double vision worked with it.

I got Gunther again, this time on floor 1 in a black chest rigged to explode. Happened to have a key on me so I went for it, and blammo.

Ended up getting Lead God that run, finally. B)

Two of my three victories were because I had the Raiden Coil. Sure, it's not that impressive against bosses (except for the Kill Pillars) but it saved me a LOT of time and effort while going through the floors.

I would advise caution, you wanna duct tape things that work in similar fashion. ( In terms of charge mechanic and overall duration of a clip)
For instance combining a weapon with small clip size with a charging weapon can yield some pretty useless results

Egg launcher is very effective against bosses if you are lucky on getting that gun starting up a run.

If the clip runs out before the charge is done you can not trigger the charge shot since there is no ammo left.

For instance I had that cannon the shoots bombs taped to a gun with a medium clip size and essentially I only would get the bomb if releasing just before the clip ran out, which was pretty tough to do.

Ive found a gun called the scrambler i believe.
its like the flare gun but it shoots eggs, i easily got to 5th boss without much effort
and it one shots lots of enimies up to the 4th floor or so
