The Danger Zone.
A very decent close quarters weapon that doesn't cost too much ammo.
Against a boss, a well-timed burst with it can deal big damage to 'em. With invulnerability items it's a serious damage dealer.

That completely defeats the purpose. From when you get the Alien Engine on, it should be your only mode of transportation!

W/ Invulerability it's arguably one of the strongest weapons ingame. It slices, dices, AND cooks those bosses.

i wanted to try using the engine with duct tape and make something crazy, but havent found the two in the same run yet

I haven't heard of the duct tape item until I looked at the wiki just now. Holy christ that sounds fun.

It reminds me of the Noisy Cricket from MIB. I love holding down the trigger and frlying around the dungeon as fast as I can.
