No your pistol gets randomly change after a while
The blessing lasts for the duration of the player's next run, and causes the player's gun to periodically change to a different random gun. Picking up a new gun causes the gun to switch to a random gun, regardless of what weapon was picked up.
No Hegemony Credit will appear during a blessed run.
It's a challenge run of sorts, solely based on rng, it's meant to spend your credit on when you have unlocked everything else or just want a random fun time.
And more important, can you end up with guns you haven't unlocked yet?
The gun you randomly get don't unlock in your ammonomicon, idk if you can get guns that you havent unlocked yet didn't notice
Also, no it's not meant to be fair, it's meant to be a challenge, just waste all the ammo while dodging.
And yes I know it's random I still feel like even randomness needs tweaking, it's just absurd you can end up with a weapon that doesn't do any damage to your enemies so you can't do anything.
I disagree. I did it to 1) test it out, and 2) I felt like it'd be easier to get to the Forge (which it was) because you can't run out of ammo on good guns which is usually the reason my good runs fail. I still needed to deliver the Prime Primer to the forge so this was a good opportunity to do so. It also gives you an unlock if you clear it so there's that.
There's tolerable rng and then there's just bad rng designed solely to screw you over. See the thing is, even in games like this you can clear any run with just your basic gun if you're GOOD. This challenge adds an rng element that takes away that possibility. If you're just simply that unlucky and get a gun that deals no damage then it doesn't matter how good you are, you can't win.
It also appears that the RNG in the Gun Game is already rigged to some extent. The gun you get is supposed to be random, but it's obviously biased towards some guns that see multiple repeats, while other guns never appear at all (the really good ones). The game has SO MANY GUNS in it so how likely is it that I'll get the same gun in one run over 10 times? Not very.
