How is '' Gun Game '' fair?
It's really fun but it really needs some tweaking. I was doing extremely well - on floor 5, with a loads of health. Oh what's that? A room with a hammer targeting you constantly, few '' Sun '' enemies and your only weapon is Molotov Launcher. Wtf was I supposed to do there? The fire doesn't damage the Suns so the weapon does very little damage if any (contact damage from the molotovs, maybe?). I lost way too much health on that room because the gun wouldn't change ..

Also nothing like having the Plunger against a massive room of dangerous enemies .. the only one it'll hurt is you. Of course that was my weapon against Dragun at the start ..

If you don't know what Gun Game is: After you free the Sorceress, you can pay 6 Hegemony credits to play a run in which your gun changes randomly or after you've used up all the bullets. Picking up a gun instantly changes your gun.

It isn't meant to be fair, it's meant to be unpredictable

You don't even get a basic pistol as backup?

No your pistol gets randomly change after a while

The blessing lasts for the duration of the player's next run, and causes the player's gun to periodically change to a different random gun. Picking up a new gun causes the gun to switch to a random gun, regardless of what weapon was picked up.

No Hegemony Credit will appear during a blessed run.

It's a challenge run of sorts, solely based on rng, it's meant to spend your credit on when you have unlocked everything else or just want a random fun time.

Seems fun ! Does it count toward completing your Ammonomicon?
And more important, can you end up with guns you haven't unlocked yet?

The gun you randomly get don't unlock in your ammonomicon, idk if you can get guns that you havent unlocked yet didn't notice

You can get guns you've never unlocked from the blessing, FYI.

Also, no it's not meant to be fair, it's meant to be a challenge, just waste all the ammo while dodging.

Molotov Launcher is a single use, 80 bullet gun with extremely long reloading time. This + a cramped room with two annoying enemies that literally take no damage, and a homing hammer after your ass .. Would you survive for the whole duration it takes to fire 80 bullets? Don't forget that the fire left from the molotov will harm you, but not your enemies because they can fly.

And yes I know it's random I still feel like even randomness needs tweaking, it's just absurd you can end up with a weapon that doesn't do any damage to your enemies so you can't do anything.

I disagree. I did it to 1) test it out, and 2) I felt like it'd be easier to get to the Forge (which it was) because you can't run out of ammo on good guns which is usually the reason my good runs fail. I still needed to deliver the Prime Primer to the forge so this was a good opportunity to do so. It also gives you an unlock if you clear it so there's that.

There's tolerable rng and then there's just bad rng designed solely to screw you over. See the thing is, even in games like this you can clear any run with just your basic gun if you're GOOD. This challenge adds an rng element that takes away that possibility. If you're just simply that unlucky and get a gun that deals no damage then it doesn't matter how good you are, you can't win.

It also appears that the RNG in the Gun Game is already rigged to some extent. The gun you get is supposed to be random, but it's obviously biased towards some guns that see multiple repeats, while other guns never appear at all (the really good ones). The game has SO MANY GUNS in it so how likely is it that I'll get the same gun in one run over 10 times? Not very.
