Ration does not heal as second active item
Today, I found the Ration for the first time (Active Item, that heals you, when you consume it).
It also says that it heals you automatically on death, when equipped.
So I fought the boss on the second secret floor with the Pilot and i died. The ration did not heal me, I assume that was because I had that as my second active item. As my "active" active item I had the lockpick, since I assumed that "when equipped" means that it does not matter if it is the "active" or the second active item, but obviously this was false.
I would like it, if that was changed, since that death felt very unfair in my eyes.

When your HP is about to empty upon damage in MGS 1 the ration is automatically used while "active". It's intentional.
It didn't "heal" then upon death that way it won't heal here this way.

You assumed poorly, "Equipped" in games always refers to what you have currently selected. The ration item is also a reference to the Metal Gear games, which functions in exactly the same way there, so double shame on you if you've played those games before.
