Is fightsabre meant to be this strong?
For the most part, I find every weapon I've come across and played around with relatively balanced, fun and in some cases synergistic. Yet when it comes to the fightsabre.. it doesn't synergize with anything and it basically lowers the skill factor of the game down to basically nothing. You just spam reload in one of 2 ways. Shoot a single shot and reload, or for those who want to take it a step further you switch weapon mid reload and quickly swap back to get the animation going again.

This allows you to cheese your way through any boss in the game as the reflect effect during the reload seems to last seconds (even past the actual animation of the swings). On the last boss you can even time the reflect during the final phase to one shot the heart with a barrage of death.

I just have a hard time believing that this was an intended aspect, as the gun actually shows up more often than many other god tier weapons in my experience. Could just be RNG on my end, but I've noticed it showing up on a lot of youtube videos and streams as well as opposed to getting other cursed guns.

rng on your end, only found it twice, both times it was truly easy mode once i got it.

would have loved it for the 6th floor

Found it only once so far (around 60 runs), still got beaten on the third floor.

There was this one Boss (a dark ball who can darken the room and shoot big red balls) and on this boss the fightsabre didn't really help with the reloading mechanic and later got killed by the tank boss -.-

But i have to admit that the Ammoconda was a piece of cake (and usually it's one of the most annyoing bosses for me - so far).

I think this weapon is as "strong" as it should be. Even in Isaac there are items that totally break the game and it's part of the random nature and experience of these games.

The bosses you had trouble with should have been completely destroyed by thing if you were spamming the reload on it. Just have to dodge the big balls as usual and on the tank you just run around in a circle spamming it and it will kill itself quicker than most bosses.

I am fine with strong items, but my point is that it dwarfs anything and everything when they have an extremely higher amount of passives and weaponry to choose from. Isaac has many things/synergies that are freakishly strong where as so far we only have this weapon that is a free full clear if used properly.

The only boss i had trouble with was the tank and i think it was because it was my first encounter - so i didn't know anything about it's movements/attacks.

Maybe i worded it a bit wrong but since the Fightsabre reflects the bullets back towards the enemy i found it little useful against the black ball Boss because it moved almost always out of the way when the shots got reflected.

I could see where you are coming from. I suppose I value the defensive ability more than the actual reflect. The gun itself is actually a good boss killer just by shooting. Mix that with the block/reflect and you just have a crazy good weapon.

The Fightsabre is easily one of the most practical guns out there. Helped me win a Bullet Hell run. Of course its only good as long as you got ammo to reload it with. And it DOES come with a slight JAMMED stat.
