First floor fireplace?

I'm having a lot of trouble accessing the secret room on the first floor. I almost never have a water based gun to put out the fire, and I only just recently learned about the water barrel trick, but I have yet to find such a barrel during any of my runs. Is it something that only spawns on rare occasions?

They arn't common but I've seen some water barrels around. I think you can even use ones from other rooms by kicking it around to get to where you want it.

there is supose to be a water barrel atleast 1 room away from the fire place room, you can tell them appart because they are blueish but if they get shot even by enemies they are destroyed so maybe when you go through rooms you miss the barrel or it gets shot before you see it.

i see them basicly every run but that could be just luck (if you wanna call it that)

Just as an FYI, the ice bomb will not put out the fire.
