What's this room about...? (Potential spoiler)

On the Hollow (floor 4), I ran into this large, seemingly empty room full of spikes (see this screenshot). I'm assuming there's something on the other side, but how to get to it? And what do do with the room in general?

Whenever I see one of those rooms, I just assume grapple hook/etheral/wax wings.

You need flight to get over it. I think there is Black Powder on the other side.

You need either flight or a gun that leaves debris on the floor to reveal the path. Think Indiana Jones and the last crusade leap of faith!

This is a very tricky room but I actually found out there is a pattern to this, yes you could alwasys fly over it if you have wings or the correct items. I figured out you can actually walk right over the spikes like an invisible platform but the pattern is tough. The spikes are 3 different sizes if I remember correctly and the medium size allows you to walk over them but it is very easy to fall. I completed this room with the teleporting dodge roll item. Only took a few teleports and I was there. The Planar Lead will be the 3rd item for crafting the bullet on the other side of that room.

I did the same exact thing yeah it takes a while but in the end its worth it

Doable with the hunters starting weapon. You don't have to layer the floor like the above screenshots, just reload every now and again to get a jist of where is safe

You only have to collect it once if you complete the 5th floor with it
