They're not too bad once you get the hang of it. I still get hit more often from Globulon Cubes, simply because they often surprise me with their bullets off screen.
Yeah just stopping for the bullets to lock (or continually moving just making sure to leave yourself room for the final part so you can roll) works great.
My mind seems to be at odds at times though with this because of snipers. I'm used to games with the flashing meaning they are locked and staying where in this one the snipers will still turn after the flash to target you.
Has got me hit more than a couple times as my brain says "It's fine now to stop and shoot" but it isn't!
If you have the Lil' Bomber or a charged weapon, it only takes 3-4 shots to kill one. Otherwise, I just circle-strafe around them with the starter pistol, like most enemies.
This, and try to spray it down. When it starts shooting, look for cover and hope for the best, is what I usually do lol.
