chest colors, different tiers?

so are all chests equal or are they different tiers? i want to know if i should prioritize a specific color if i only got one key

Via your map. Just hold the map button and the controls to select and drop items should be on the left side of the screen for your control method.

There is also a big rainbow chest as well which will drop out 8 items! I guess it's super rare to find one seeing as I only find it once. here is a screen shot i did of it:RogueMimic:

I believe that Green chests tend to have a weapon or active item, while Blue tends to have passive items.

Brown just seems to be a mixed bag of whatever. Roll the dice, maybe get a half-heart, a weapon, a passive item or if you're really really lucky, a huge pay out. (I once had a gun, an armor peice and a replacement key from a single Brown chest)

So there might be some legit strategy to what you want to open with that one starting key beyond "green is better than blue".

I'd personally take passives over guns for the most part for example.

also Glitch and Rainbow chests... Rainbow chests are like a orgy of everything.

The rate of a rainbow chest spawning is 1/3003 I think and there is also a glitch chest which has a rate of spawning even lower than the rainbow chest`s spawn rate. Once the glitch chest is opened, it`ll teleport you into a room that leads to a boss room with a Beholster but with a glitched name and twice the amount of attacks as the normal Beholster will do.

While each tier chests is generally better than the last, its set up so that each tier has good stuff and not so good stuff. For example Brown chests while usually being bad can, they can drop multiple pickups at once including a key. Sometimes you might get something like cigarettes from a brown chest which is quite useful. As for black chests, there are even some S rank items that are less than desireable in most situations. Personally I find the Patriot and the AU Gun kind of lack-luster for S class. While they can put out a lot of damage in a reletively short time they don't have very efficient ammo capacities. There is also Broccoli and the Gun Soul in S tier that I beleive rarely make a difference in a run.
