Save&Quit
Sorry if this question was already answered at some point, but when is it (if at all) possible to quit mid-run without losing all your current run progress?

For example, in a rogue-like shooter Ziggurat, once you defeat a boss and jump into a portal that leads you to the next level, the game shows you a stats screen, at the bottom of which there are 2 buttons: 'Continue' and 'Save & Quit'. It is possible to resume your run later, starting on the next floor.

Does EtG has something similar?

Not right now. The first binding of Isaac game for exp. didn't have a way to save the game.
Maybe the developers will patch such a function in the game later on.

So you basically have to either die or complete the enture run. I see...

Do you happen to know the time it takes to complete a run successfully on average? I haven't personally ever reached the end thus far, so i wouldn't know.

Not sure how many people have completed a full run, but reaching floor four takes me 20-40 minutes depending on the run. I've only made it once to the fifth floor.

I agree wholeheartedly. Having a short break or maybe 20 minutes before going somewhere else and i can't start a new run because isn't goint to go anywhere past floor 3. First Binding of Isaac didn't have it, but nowadays more and more roguelites have this function. Maybe we can have a response for any member of the team about this matter? It would be REALLY appreciated.

Please add Save & Quit, devs. At least let us restart from the floor we're on.

Definitely agree – saving a run to come back to later would make it much easier to fit Gungeon into busy schedules. It's no fun to know you that, if you can't justify 40-60 minutes of straight play, you won't be able to beat a run no matter what.

Save and exit, please, devs!

I would love to see the autosave feature the same as in Rebirth/Afterbirth. Gungeon runs can be over an hour long and sometimes people may have other stuff to do that can't wait.
