Consequences of Stealing with "Decoy"?
So, I found out that if you use the "Decoy" item in a Shop, it lets you steal the items. Intresting Idea, but when you do, you get a strange purple Skull pop up, and it makes me think there is some kind of penalty for Stealing. Anyone know what it might be?

You become cursed. The more you become cursed, certain things become more difficult.

More specifically, the higher your curse is will increase the chance of jammed enemies to spawn. They are bright red and have much higher health than average.

Also, if you steal too much, the shopkeeper won't sell anything that floor. Jammed (cursed) enemies do drop more money, but if your curse gets to 10 you'll meet with a terrible fate.

As a side note, Jammed enemies also deal more damage (a whole heart instead of a half heart) and you can also encounter jammed bosses, which have the same boosted attack power (but same level of health IIRC)..

If the shop keeper stops selling stuff it's for the entire floor, and that only happens if you're "caught" stealing, or if you try to steal twice from the same shop keeper. Getting "caught" while stealing is something I have no experience with, however I believe it is when you try to use a different item to steal.

The purple skull indicates a curse you will also get "cursed" by buying items from the evil woman merchant and certain items from black chests. You can get cured of curses from certain shrines.

It must also be noted that Jammed enemies also drop more money, assuming you don't get hurt by them.
