How to drop passive items with a controller
I love the game and I have a question:
you can drop passives when holding TAB and clicking on them. But I couldn't find out how to do it with a controller.

cheers

I believe it is the directional pad: hold UP to drop items and hold DOWN to drop weapons :fhappy:

UP drops your Active item and DOWN drops your weapon. However with keyboard you can also drop passive items. So I assume controller can do that as well
ahh well I was not aware of that thank you, will have to look again in the settings, as first time with controller using blanks was not bound to any button
ok under the edit controller binds only found Drop Item and Drop Gun, but sadly no Drop Passive option was in the listing.... :fsad:

With a controller, blanks are default set to clicking in both sticks. You'll see it under controls as "alternate blank binding" or some such before you go into the actual bindings list, though it doesn't actually show up in said list as such.
ok awesome thanks Nuke :fhappy:

See my original post where I described how it can be done, The controller method should be similar and not in the option menu, or atleast I think so but I couldn't figure it out

Well holding tab just bring up your map. So try bringing up the map with select, and see if you can click on the items on the map screen?
Ok I found it now: using LT for map use D-pad Left or Right to select an item and Y button to drop :fhappy:

Just to confirm, this is how you drop items. It's fairly subtle:

  • Hold map open
  • Use D-pad to highlight unwanted item
  • Press button that is prompted on the left of the map

Id like t stress that if you altered the keybinds (which i find extremely likely), you wont actually be able to drop an item from the map menu. I lost a blank because of this.

Almost sure it's just because the prompt on the map screen is for the default binding. Whatever you changed that button to is the one you'll need to use to drop the passive item, I'm sure.
