Mac: Can't use xbox controller

I can't use my xbox controller in-game at all. It's not recognizing it in settings or for gameplay. Outside of the game or in other games it works fine.

Any ideas?

Playing on a mac with the latest OS and updates.

Did you install the Xbox 360 driver ?

ps : if ever you had a previous version installed before switching to El Capitan, you need to thoroughly uninstall it before installing the latest.

Yes, I have had it installed forever and it works fantastic with other games.

Hmm don't know what to tell you as I installed mine anew yesterday and just tried it (it works).
Is the controller recognized in the xbox360 panel in your preferences (just to be sure of that at least).

Rebooting, doing a little dance to the computer gods etc.

Yea, I reinstalled the driver, gave it a reboot and checked in settings. Everything looks good and the controller works in other games. Going to do some more testing because it looks like its just me for now.

Err, well it was working and I just relaunched the game and it doesn't anymore so ...

Ah, so it might not just be me. A last minute update might be the issue?

Having the same problem here. Xbox 360 controller shows up fine in SysPrefs. I just played an hour of Nuclear Throne using it. Tried to get controller working in Gungeon, no dice. Doesn't show up.

I'm on 10.11.4 Public Beta.

Try this:

- Start the game and only press buttons on the controller. If I pressed ANY key on the keyboard it never lets me use the controller.

If that does not work:

1. Start the game with the controller plugged in.

2. Once the game starts up, unplug the controller.

3. Plug it back in and try to use it.

lol, yea. It worked for me and I figured other people might have the issue.
