PSA: Scattershot is terrible, never pick it up.

I've gotten this item in a couple of my runs and I have to say, it's probably the worst passive item in the game as it actually makes your weapons worse.
From the description, you'd think that it reduces your damage per shot, but then multiplies it by 3, so if you hit with all 3 shots you end up dealing more damage. But no, it first splits your damage across 3 projectiles, THEN reduces it further. So even if you hit the same enemy with all 3 shots, you're still doing less damage then before.
Unless you have a very specific weapon like the Molotov Launcher, never pick up this item. It actually lowers your gun output significantly and makes you spam more ammo to get the same results.

This is indeed true. When you open the map and click the item at the bottom, a red "drop item" button will appear at the top left corner.

yeah imho it should work as you thought, if you hit all the bullets you deal more damage.

It is a passive that synergizes well with weapons that have a special attack on first or last hit as it will proc off every extra bullet, as well as explosives for obvious reasons. It also procs burning/ice/poison if the weapon has it or you have the other passives.

It is also extremely good against most bosses due to the large hitbox soaking up everything at mid(ish) range. It may not be good with every weapon or in the circumstances you'd like it to be good in, but it is a very powerful item if used correctly.

It's a pretty hilarious item to pick up if you've got a blunderbuss. And electric bullets so there's arcs between every shot. So much lightning.

I paid the shrine twice and had Angry Fat Scattershot Shock rounds.. would highly recommend.

with Hyber Light Blaster, Scatter shot would recover 3 bullets, so even you just have 1 bulles left, if you hit 3 bullets to enemies, it would recovered 3 bullets.

The Scrambler is insane with Scattershot Especially if you have Homing Bullets, or +1 . you can just destroy any boss.

It's very situational, I want to like it but it's really not good enough for general use. I think overall it increase damage by like 15% if they all hit (which they won't). That's nowhere near enough...

Eye of the Beholster + Easy Realod bullets + Scatter shot means you can get 6 beddies continously without reloading
