Wallmonger fire attack

What's the best way to deal with the wallmonger attack when he closes the middle with fire? The videos where people play the boss they use weapons that can destroy / reflect projectiles, or the fire immunity item (hazmat suit). What if you don't have either of those? I tried rolling through the fire to the other side, but usually there are stray bullets flying around where you land. You also have to almost immediately start rolling back to the other side.

A single blank is not enough to clear the entire attack (unlike with the Statue Boss circle attack). Is it possible to roll through the row of bullets, rather than rolling through the fire in the middle? Other than this single attack the boss seems pretty easy, I just can't find a good and reliable way to deal with the fire attack.

You wanna stay about midway in the fight so you have more room to jump from side to side. If it helps you to focus, stop firing during the attack.

It took me several attempts to finally figure that attack out, and now it's the least difficult part of him. It's a shame there's no real way to practice just the boss fights until well after you've established you can best them all super easily anyway.

The easiest way I found is to stay IN the fire (insane, right?) and spam dodge rolling up and down, constantly avoiding the fire from doing damage to you until it's over.
It's the only way I've found myself able to avoid the constant bullet hell that comes on each side, not sure if there really is a way without diving into fire.

Roll around in the fire when he fires the huge "walls" of bullets, then try to pop off a few shots between each "wall".

If you want to deal damage to him while he's doing this attack, then you need to dodge through the fire to the other side when he fires a barrage of bullets. If you just want to survive the attack, then do what Draakvuur said.

I actually find it easier to dodge back in behind the barrage. It just feels more predictable.

Yeah, but you are risking to get hit because you need to be pretty close to it in order to dodge through.

Also, if you get a fire protection then this fight becomes much easier.

With the fire? I just stick to one side, move around avoiding the shotgun-like spreads, and dodge roll over the sudden wall of bullets.

Fight sabre makes wall monger kill himself in about 5 seconds.

A lot of misinformation and strange decisions here. The wall monger is my favorite boss on floor 4 because it's a free flawless for me. Here is the trick.

STAY TO ONE SIDE.

Don't swap sides, don't go to the middle, just stay right or left. He can't make you leave. Nothing he does will force you to swap sides, so don't. I don't even know why you would want to. The only thing I can think of is that you guys don't know that you can dodge roll through his wide attack?

The only annoying thing the wallmonger does is that 1 line of bullets attack, it has some weird movement thing which makes it hard to dodge effectively. I just dodge downwards and it seems to work, though.
