Flaming Hand vs Pitchfork
Is there any difference ? To me they seem like the exact same weapon.

They also deal very low damage. Try it on a boss... you'll run out of ammo and take like 30% of it's HP at best.

Would be neet if one maybe had bigger fireballs that deal more damage ? Or explode ? Is there any fire based weapon that does decent damage ?

Don't know the difference but I know that they're better off as just a quick fire-starter for the continous passive damage.

I believe the pitchfork does a little more damage per shot but they're essentially the same weapon.

As you said they are not terribly good on bosses, but they are quite good at shredding rooms. Not my favorite weapons but I'll no-damage clear a handful of rooms if I get either of them.

From my experience the 200 ammo the Flaming Hand has lasts for like 3 to 4 rooms, the damage is that low. And yea Pitchfork is barely different.

You'd think a devil's weapon was much more powerful than some hand on fire but nope.

I would assume those two items are designed to deal their damage indirectly, and possibly to multiple enemies at once. So in theory they should be dealing a good amount of damage over time to multiple enemies, but it doesnt work out that way in practice.

When I've gotten them I would set some fools on fire then swap to a diff weapon. It would save me maybe 2 or 3 bullets...maybe the ammo conservation adds up over the course of many, many rooms.

Flame hand is a good floor 1-2 room clearing weapon and not bad against the secret dungeon 1 boss. He seems to catch on fire and takes more damage than you'd expect from it. Pitch fork is just a more powerful version of it. Only got it once, but it felt like it was alright on floor 3 and at least saved me some ammo on floor 4, but no real stopping power.
