Cigarettes + Permanent Coolness Increase + ??? = Profit?
In the Official Enter the Gungeon wiki, it says that the item cigarettes PERMANENTLY increase coolness. Is this true? and if so then wouldn't this be too powerful? Meaning that if you use this item enough, you'll almost guarantee a drop in every room. I honestly hope the wiki is wrong on this one, can anyone comfirm this?

Problem is that each use costs one point of health/shield and considering both can be a bit problematic to get cigarettes quickly become a gambit.

only time i would use cigarettes is when i cleared a chamber, have full health and there are still a few health drops around that would be wasted anyway if i went down the elevator.

No, but the real question is the term "Permanent." Does this mean for 1 run or does this effect ever single run that would come after.

1 run, probably

Oh. Well yeah. it's only for the duration of the run you are in. No item has a permenant effect that lasts through multiple runs.

It's just very strange that the wiki meantions that it is permanent instead of just "Increases coolness." Well someone should change the wiki then. Thanks guys for clearing things up.

Wiki is fine, there are no items that grant something permanent that stays with you ifor all the following runs.

Then the wiki should not say permanent in the item description, and thus meaning the wiki has a mistake.

I'm sorry, but just because you assume permanent in the most literal endless form possible without any room for other context doesn't mean the rest does so too.

With permanent here they mean that the effect will persist, that it doesn't dissipate between chambers, or dissapears if you get rid of the cigarettes or after time. It remains a permanent buff for the current run.

Then why is it that other item descriptions do not have the word permanent in it? That is what I am trying to say. This was the only item description I could find with the word permanent in it, doesn't that seem wierd? Naturally it should be assumed that this effect is different from the rest of the items and that it would last forever, but since this is not true the wiki page should not have the word permanent in it.

Thus the wiki page has a mistake in it.

It's the only item that says it has a permanent effect because it is the only item that has a permanent effect (for the run). Every other item or gun that increases coolness that I know of loses the effect when you drop it. Using cigarettes increase it though for the entirety of the run even if you drop the pack after using it once

The wiki has a lot of mistakes, I would not trust it 100%.

this. will you please stop always saying `the wiki has an error` every time now?

It's a wiki. You can edit it yourself if it bothers you so much.

Don't be surprised if others edit it back because the current description is accurate and only you seem to be struggling to grasp the context.
