Hunter Crossbow + Muscle Relaxant = 1shot most everything

Crossbow starting weapon does SUCH nice damage if you get the muscle relaxer pill.
This does not make sense to me because pill tooltip says "improves aim" not damage.

The damage was so good with hunter crossbow I was able to 1shot most enemies on level 4 and 5 and actually killed Dragun for the first time with.. LOL... the crossbow.

Any explanation for this?
Does muscle relaxant only boost dmg for certain weapons (bows, others?)?
