It's generally a hit or miss with the others, however. It's generally a good idea though.
But I would recommend not doing the 1st secret floor on a regular run because it's just a big waste of time. The boss is boring to fight and you don't even get anything special for flawlessing him, there is poison everywhere so if you don't have Bug Boots/Gas Mask/Hazmat Suit/Monster Blood/Clear Guon Stone then you'll have to go through the level at an incredibly slow pase and you'll almost never have enough keys to comfortably go there and not be in what I like to call "Key Debt".
I'm a valid source because I've beat the Dragun over 10 times and have all the pasts.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Kappa
i would hold off on secret chamber 2.. you may experience diminishing returns on that one due to the difficulty.
You'll get there eventually.
You burn two keys on~
-A shop.
-Many, many shells
-A high chance of a key drop
-An assured weapon
-up to two chests.
I'd say if you have a good weapon and flawlessed the first boss, might as well. Otherwise, I'd just roll through the run and leave it alone.
Usually I get one, and ONLY one thing out of that floor: 2 less keys that could have been used on... absolutely any other freaking thing. Hell, have I *ever* seen a single key actually drop on the secret floor? Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I havent. So the only way to get back the wasted keys is to waste money. So, less keys AND less money. MOST of the time, the two chests in that floor are 2 chests I cant open without paying (and they may be crap chests anyway; my last go at that stupid floor produced a brown one and a blue one). The game has to be OBSESSED with giving me keys on the first floor in order for it not to be an utter waste. And even then, that's STILL two keys that could go anywhere else.
So, for TWO keys, I get ONE weapon, less money if I try to open one of the chests (because I have to buy ANOTHER bloody key), less money if I had to buy the second key just to get into the place, and probably some lost HP. ......yay?
Keys are just WAY too important to waste two of them on that.
It seems like a very badly balanced floor to me. Reminds me of nearly every secret area in Nuclear Throne other than the Pizza Sewers.
Just seems like wasted content. After many runs through it with zero purpose, I've just outright stopped bothering. I'd love to see it tweaked a bit later on to make it actually useful.
