1.you only died because you saw him for the very first time, in the next time he will be easy.
2. given how seldom he spawns they could make him 3 times harder.
3. if you make the door diferent where is the surprise then, this boss is all about the surprise, i think even you will get that point.
Doorlord is harder than normal floor 2 and 3 bosses(at lv4 niveau) and honestly i think he should be lv4 only
hes rare yes,but there shouldnt be a the possibility to face a lv4 boss at floor 2..

I'd totally take him over ANY of the Floor 4 bosses.
I think because he can be (or just is) so rare it's totally ok to be a hard boss if you encounter him "early" in your playtime.
If you can get to chamber 4 and 5 consistantly then the door lord isn't really a big challenge since you know a lot of "pattern" or attacks of him from similar enemies you've encountered far more often by that time.
you could just do boss rush to practice door lord if im not mistaken
