Too much visual clutter/things going on?
I'm fairly confortable playing this game, not having a problem at all against bosses/enemies themselfs (exept for the High Priest). However, a recurring problem i have is not being able to pay attention at everything. As an example, in the Treadnought fight i always have the problem of having to pay attention to too many bullets. The fact that he also spawns minions makes paying attention to everything even harder. Certain rooms are also very cluttered. In the 5th chamber, there is a room with 2 hammer constantly hamming the ground on each side. The problem is: They don't appear very early, so when i start focusing on the enemies, i suddenly have to pay attention to the hammers. Maybe im the only one, but if there is a considerable number of people that feel the same, maybe it would help to reduce the ammount of bullets on certain rooms.

Well you kinda said it yourself that having multiple things to pay attention to makes the game harder, and to me it seems like that's what was intended: for this to be a hard game. If the devs wanted the game to be easier I'd imagine they'd add an easy mode with less bullets.

There's been a few instances where in big rooms an enemy would shoot me off screen and I would walk into the bullet as the camera scrolled in that direction, but it's something I've adjusted to the more I've played.

Well, i don't personally agree that's how difficulty should go, but i digress. Still like the game toh.

Had similar problems and switched to a controller, which made if more easy for me - maybe you'll give it a try.

Is it because of the aim asssist? Because that would certainly help. Altough i prefer m/k all the way trough, so i probably won't switch.

Not really. If you don't like aim assist you can turn it off or just simply adjust the amount of aim assist.

Why i prefer controller:

Movement is more fluid since you can adjust your walking speed better, which let's you slip through some gaps that could be hard with the "full speed" movement on keyboard.

Sure, the aim is superior on a mouse BUT with the gamepad you only have to press the analog stick in the direction you want to fire (no crosshair), means: you don't have to look where your crosshair is, just fire away and concentrate more on your movement/dodging.

If you want to try a controller i would suggest to rebind some of the buttons because the standard layout is a pain to play with.

Just personal preference I reckon. Bullet hell shmups are one of my favorite genres so the difficulty from "Here's a crap ton of shiny bullets good luck not getting hit." is just something I enjoy personally. Glad you like it though.

Sometimes it's better to not see the bullets comming but to hear them comming. With the Treadnought I always try to hear the rat-tat-tat of the tanker enemies so I can take them out. The hammers have a wind up cue and a sound that means that it struck.

I sometimes use that to better target enemies, but it can be tricky to use it for dodgin purposes, since many enemies shoot a lot of bullets in different patterns.
