The Microtransaction Gun is a problem specifically because the only reliable source of ammo for it (the coin payout from bosses) appears to have been disabled, so the only time you'll ever be able to fire it will be in the (exceedingly rare) case that you get a 50-coin pickup or the Briefcase of Cash... Both of which are also otherwise useless.
The Charmed Bow, Camera, Chaff Grenades, Melted Rock, Charm Horn, and Iron Coin assume that you will be encountering rooms with regular enemies in them. There are a few other guns and items (Gunther and the Polaris, the Metronome, the Heart and Armor Synthesizer, the 7-Leaf Clover) that are of questionable usefulness, but I tried to keep this to stuff that I could confirm was outright useless.
The Camera can be used to damage Cannonbalrog and High Priest when they are invisible so I wouldn't count it as completely useless.
I would like to see a quick restart feature in Boss Rush so I don't have to pick a character and walk across the breach every time I want to replay it.
Didn't know that, regarding the Camera. Assuming it's intended functionality, the Camera should stay. If it gets patched out, it should be removed from the pool.
A quick-restart would be a godsend; using it could make you pay another 3 Credits (with a reminder in the confirmation menu), and the option could be made unavailable if you don't have the money to try again.
