Mirror Room Bug?

The wiki doesn't say too much about this, so I thought I'd ask here just incase someone knows. I found a mirror room, and I'm attempting to find the chest in the room. I literally walked around it in a grid like pattern, the entire room, and never once did I find my reflection. I used a blank in the room, thinking maybe it was attached to a Secret Room and the chest was in there, but there wasn't a secret room either.

Anyone ever have it where you can't access the chest in the mirror? Can an item cause it? Note, that I have 1 Curse due to buying the Badge, but even with dropping it, I didn't see my reflection. I've tried it with full HP, damaged, I even had a key on my just incase, and I simply can't seem to figure out why I can't see myself in the reflection. Is it possible for the chest to actually be in another room?

Spam E in front of the mirror.

It's generally a curse for a green chest. It's a good trade, but you can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if it's a mimic.

You can see the chest in the mirror so you know at least what tier you are trading for a curse.

Have you ever found a non-green chest? I don't recall running into non-greens.

I did everything of short of shooting the mirror (again. Made that mistake the first time I saw one of these, thinking the chest was inside) and never managed to see my reflection in this one.

Edit: Something just hit me. Cursula looks like Marcy from Adventure Time, Marcy is a Vamp. Vamps can't see themselves in mirrors as is the tradition... did I not see my reflection because of the purchase from her? Did I become a Vamp...?

I'm starting to think that the Cursula thing is indeed the case. I had another run just after it, and lucked out to see the Mirror Room again. This time, I WAS able to see my reflection, very quickly. Can anyone else confirm this?
