Tips for blessed runs
Just beat the game in blessed run mode and I have to say it was probably the most fun I've had with the game. RNGesus can sometimes screw you over (boss battles especially), but you can usually make do even with a crappy gun until you get something better.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice for the blessed mode? Like is there a way to increase the odds of passive / active items dropping instead of guns? Are any of the chests more likely to drop them? I recall that if you haven't pickup up a gun during the level, the boss is guaranteed to drop a gun. Would it make sense to always open at least one chest to try and get a gun, so the boss might drop an item? I'm assuming if the bosses drop items they are higher quality than what blue chests might give you.

One tip I can give is that if you get a rapid fire gun with a lot of ammo, you should use that to check for secret rooms since it won't be swapped to another gun until you damage / kill some enemies with it.

If you have unlocked the akey-47, don't smash the chests until after the boss. Also, don't use keys on chests for items unless you have a rediculous amout of keys. Buy pasives and the eventual good active from shops. And the mimic tooth necklace is good of you can handle the heat. Basicly anything chest related that dosn't require keys.
