What does the room with the demon head statue thing do

I found a room in chamber 3 that I've never seen before and I haven't been able to find it on google or on the wiki.

I walked into the mouth and it hurt me after a second (took my armor).
Does it do anything or is it just a trap or something

You have to be either cursed at least once, or holding more than 100 casings to be allowed inside.

It has just a bunch of vendor NPCs with low prices and a shooting mini-game inside
