Bosses should not drop Hearts if you are at max health
Just a little something to lower the RNG of a "Dud" boss loot.

True I kinda agree same with other rooms they should only drop health of you need it

Bosses? Maybe. Other rooms? No. Having floating health on the current floor is useful. Especially if you find things like cigarettes. Or need to heal up before the boss after a bad room.

bosses: yep , other rooms: let the RNG flow through

personally i think that red hearts should have a massively lower drop priority if you havent been hit during the run. cigeretts are cute but the ammount of times i flawlessed floor one and two to only have trolly redhearts in every room while i am crying and shooting a black chest is simply unreasonable.

I support this.

It would fit the "play good, get rewards" kind of style, this game has.

I don't want to make an Isaac comparison, but if EtG had something similar to a "Blood Bank", it'd make excess HP more useful.

Eh, I'm sort of against it. The game already has sort of rewards for playing good. I don't feel a need to stack it even more so where the player does good and is absolutely rolling in even more keys/ammo/armor because they stay at full health.

Or just lead to more armor stacking since you could still technically have full health. Since taco brought up Isaac, I felt that was a bad thing about it in general; just stacked the many many blue hearts you got on a run and said screw health because you would always be considered full health for everything (devil deals, the boss rush/gated rooms).

They could get around that by simply counting if you got hit at all, armor or not, but I still think having you sometimes get the goods and sometimes get stuff you need is absolutely fine. They tweaked keys so we could have them and you usually can either find the ammo by doing well or new guns to swap, I don't really feel they should keep feeding us more and more.

The problem is that if one is fed too much (or exclusively) heart drops, one will fall behind very quickly. I had a marine run where literally the first floor was all heart drops. The chest I opened gave me an HP up.

I can't do anything with 8 HP (4 hearts) lying around while I'm at max health, at the end of the floor.

This is the end result of a slightly different marine run. There were several more HP containers in different rooms.

I'm not asking for something drastic, but if they're not going to tweak the drop system, at least add something in the game that can make use of them.

Like, I don't know, a store that deals exclusively in your HP.

I know people who need this much health, though.

Ok. Either way, the HP is still going to be there. The difference is that the people who don't need it for survival purposes can still use it.
