Let's talk about the High Priest boss fight and his random bullets.
From all the bosses among the 4th floor, High Priest to me is the one that more easily kill any Lead God run. Sure, Kill Pillar are erractic, and Wallmonger literally sends walls of bullets at you, but those two aren't as random as the High Priest, which makes a no-boss-hit-run almost impossible.

Pattern is something that we need to learn to defeat the bosses here in Gungeon, and is something that I really enjoy, especially when you finally get it right, but HP throws most of it through the window. No warning, no nothing, they just show up and you need to have a flawless reaction time, else you have 4 floors worth of time wasted.

Today, just before posting this, I was going excelently through the bosses, and after clearing the 4th chamber, having 8 full hearts and 2 armor (Not that those truly matter when you want Lead God), with a great variety of powerful guns (Those do) and 4 blanks just waiting to be used. I pass through the boss door, skip the animation, look at my weapon just to make sure it is full, and hear a blank go out. I was mortified. Something hit me, but what I did not know. The boss was still idle, since bosses take a bit of time to actually start fighting. At that moment, the Lead God run was over. I lost the will to continue, fought him for a bit, without caring if I was getting hit anymore, and when he hit 50%, I just quit.

In the end, there is only one explanation. A random bullet came from out of nowhere and hit me on the first second of the fight. It wasn't the boss' attack, since he didn't even move in that fraction of a second that I gazed upon my weapon.

What I would ask the developers to consider is to make those random bullets far more noticeable, or at least, give them a bit of a cooldown before they actually start showing up. I know they are a core mechanic of the High Priest, and I don't wish it to be removed, but I feel completely cheated from a perfect run.

Inb4 smartasses telling me to "get gud".

I feel like to flawless High Priest you have to cheese him by standing in the narrow doorway corridor and just blanking/dodging when necessary. That seems to be the only relatively safe place in that arena (I've never seen random bullets show up there, but if they do, like they apparently did in your case, it's exceedingly rare). Anywhere else, a random wall bullet will ruin your day when you least expect it. and standing in the center of the room away from the walls isn't much of an option considering how the High Priest can just rush you down without giving you much reaction time or telegraphing that he's about to do so.

Only once was I able to kill him and get the Gungeon Mastery from him. It entailed the usage of Lead Skin AND Stuffed Star, with 4 or 5 blanks. Ironically, I find him easier to defeat than the Kill Pillars or Wallmonger, even though I get GM from those far more frequently.

Wallmonger always gets me to dodge roll from one bullet spray into another, the fact he can actually aim his shots always screws me over. But Kill Pillars are the only chamber 4 boss I can reliably flawless so far. Which part exactly gives you trouble? I can give you some pointers, they are really easy to avoid damage from.

I don't have trouble with them, I just think that they have a much smaller room for error than the other two, this harder, but since they don't have the extra random element that the HP has, it makes me ace them with far more frequency, and if I do screw up, I don't feel like I was made for a sucker, since it was my fault.

Lead God asks for "Five Master Rounds". It is not asking for five different Master Rounds.

If you could find a way of getting through the first three floors a second time in the same run you could easily get this achievement without suffering 4th tier bosses or Dragun.

Just sayin' fam.

The bullets coming out of the walls aren't as random as you think they are. Pay attention to the walls and you'll realize something.

Also, most his attacks are super easy to dodge if you just stand in the corner of the room.

Clone is the (only) answer if one wants to redo floors. Now to get one is another beast entirely.

Yup, it's how I did it. And I suspect the majority of people with this achievement got it exactly the same way.

What makes it more frustrating is that I already have it (non-clone run), but I got it before the 1.06 patch, which means I don't have access to the item that was locked behind the Lead God.
Maybe I'll try getting it through boss rush.

+1 to this. A similar situation happened to me. Enter boss room, fight starts, start moving to the right and BAM wall bullet.

Wall bullets need to be re-worked. Even if they do have a tell I'll never notice it cause I'm too busy looking at the BOSS and not the walls.

They also add a random element to the fight which goes against learning patterns for bosses imo. Every other boss fight has a pattern you can learn and control except this one.

If the devs don't want to remove them entirely I would like to suggest making the only spawn from walls on the opposite side of the room and make them not wave back and forth.

I've come to the point where I can relatively reliably flawless the pillars and sometimes the wall, but the High Priest has just too many random bullets that you cant predict, even if you know the patterns, it's quite the annoyance indeed.

What annoys me the most is that I had a legit Lead God run a couple of days ago, but unwittingly gave the chamber 4 master round to the elevator douchebag before beating the Dragun, not knowing it would make the game not recognize it as a lead god run anymore.

Just watch this. If you can get past his voice, it's the best (only?) guide on how to do the boss fight on the innernets.

Basically, the wall bullets are not random like people think. They shoot out at specific spots. Don't stand in those spots. Get close-ish to the walls and you'll be fine, I promise. He's actually the easiest floor 4 boss to perfect as there's LESS randomness to his attacks than the others.

Well a couple days ago you'd have got absolutely nothing (except trophies if you're on console) because the item unlock was bugged.
