Does Backpack + Extra Space stack?

I'm playing as the Pilot and found a Backpack in one of the shops. I was thinking of buying it, because being able to carry 3 actives at once seems fun.

Though, I thought it might not stack. Does is not? Does it?

Unfortunatly, I got shot down in the Hollow before I could get another Active.

yes. i played as pilot and gotten backpack as well a few days ago and i could carry 3 actives.

next question is, will you have 4 actives slots when playing as the pilot and have both backpack and utility belt?

Haven't had even 3 actives at once myself I think, finding the items required for 4 and then actual 4 actives is almost impossible.

Would be a fun run to experience, I reckon.

Yes, they all stack. You can have 4 active items with the pilot.
