Question about the Gun Fairy
Since the creature is described as a pot mimic does that mean being cursed will increase the chances of one spawning? Since Curses seem to increase chest mimic encounter rates.

Curse has no bearing on the amount of mimic spawns you get. It'd be silly for the game to do that, because that'd actively benefit you to have more curse as it'd lead to more items and less keys spent.

So, in other words, no.

From the Wiki: Chests have a base chance of 2.25% to turn into a mimic. This chance increases by 2.1% for each point of curse the player has.

So yeah. It increases the chance for CHEST mimics, but I'm not sure about other kinds of mimics.

Can confirm this is the case as observed during my jammed runs. Short as they were. That's why I was wondering if the Gun Fairy would be similarly affected. Alas only devs know.

As soon as I got curse from stealing from the shop (I accidently also got rid of it forever...)
The first chest I found was a mimic, which killed me.

By shooting three times? That only gets rid of the shop for that run.

Nah, steal through some items may fail on first try. It adds curse even on failed attempt though.

....Thats exactly why the curse mechanic exists in this game. Its a basic risk versus reward situation where you are getting much tougher and more dangerous enemies, more mimics and fewer non-ammo drops in exchange for a lot more money, the useful items that carry curse and the lesser need for keys thanks to mimics.

Do you know about praying to the statue after you have killed a characters past?

Well, besides from it making sense in a Risk vs. Reward fashion, the Source is from the Wiki.

Source is people's investigations from the output log and verifying changes in memory through programs like CE.
