What does broccoli do?

Seems to be a powerful item. However, description doesn't give any information of its effect. No extra heart containers, no extra movement speed, maybe extra damage?

I think it gives extra damage but it is only noticeable when using the peashooter which is its synergy item and gives it huge damage.

It turns the Pea Shooter into one of the best guns in the game. It's otherwise worthless.

Dang. That makes it useless. I mean getting peashooter and broccoli in the same run is almost impossible...

broccoli increases damage by 10%, movement speed by 1, and gives a 10% chance to negate damage and according to the wiki, if you somehow get duplicates it further increases the buffs.
