Gun you thought was Trash (but isn't)

What is a Gun you thought was trash, but you realized later (either with the right combo, or just getting better with it) it was actually pretty awesome.

For me, it would be the Starpew. For the longest time, I didn't know this thing was a charge weapon, as strange as it sounds. XD I just thought it was random.

Heck Blaster (with a good synergy like lightning bullets)
whatever the squirt gun is called (for knocking enemies into pits later in the game)

Also I think the Starpew got buffed in the last update? So maybe it really was as bad as you thought before?

It was still pretty decent before the Buff.
Now its just beast.

Its great for large bosses, and if you have Ghost Bullets its probably one of the best room clears in the game.

If I tune out, Wind Up Gun is pretty sweet with both synergies.

Sling. Didn't think much of it until I started swinging it on bosses. Packs quite a wallop.

I disliked Mahoguny at first and threw it to the muncher the first time I had it. Then several runs later it was my only gun for a while not counting the starter so I had to use it and I really started to like it. Now I'm always happy when I get it, and I even buy it in shops when I see it (I actually bought it just now, few minutes ago during this run I'm playing). It can one to two shot most things and has over 300 ammo so you don't run out quickly.

It is a fairly good room clearer, and if you have something like scattershot, it is quite a sight.

Plus with the hardwood synergy it’s a great boss killer since it does a good amount of explosive damage and breaks bullets.

Prolly the Rad gun, though its text is rather annoying. It packs no punch if you don't chain the reloads, but if you go out of your way (and just take your time to peacefully shoot a bullet to reload a few times if you drop a combo/before the next room) to make it work, it is quite the room clearer.
