So far as I am aware, there isn't any difference between using a controller on the ps4 version and using a controller on the pc version, and you can always just plug your pc into your tv and connect two controllers for couch coop. Only differences between the versions I know of would be not having to wait on sony to approve the patches before your can get them and access to the beta branch if you go with the steam version. People also seem to be pretty split on prefering k&m or controller for this game and of course it will all come down to personal preference but it may be nice to have the option to use either if you aren't already dead set on playing it a certain way.
