Anyone who doesn't like ETG is just really bad at it.
You can't change my mind, it's true.

To be 100% honest, despite the fact I spent the time to unlock every achievement and have nearly 300 hours in this game, I still think it's kind of boring. I can't remember the last time I actually wanted to complete a run, things just take too much time. A friend of mine had the same issue, the only difference being he found other things to do. This game sucks to play unil you unlock more interesting weapons; most of the default stuff is boring and mediocre. Even super good weapons are restricted by the DPS cap on bosses, which really hurts the feeling of progression, IMO. You can't really change it, though. Unlike something like Nuclear Throne, where you die just as fast as bosses and enemies do, combat seems crafted to occur at a specific pace. It takes a good amount of time for you to actually die, since I-frames are so generous and nearly everything only takes 1/2 a heart away, and you can increase your health to the point that you're practically guaranteed to not die. Reloading slows things down even more, but again, you can't really change it, it's how the game was designed. It's not inherently bad, just slow, and it's understandable why that'd be a turn off for people. I almost gave up on this game multiple times, not because I was struggling, but because I was just tired of slowly chipping away at boss health at a predetermined rate, and slowly picking off enemies in rooms to slowly clear floors. Even initially unlocking things is slow. Unless you're flawlessing bosses for the Hegemony Credit increase, which you're probably not going to be doing if you're new, unlocking things just takes a long time, and some of the basic items are unlocks (Bullet modifiers, decent low tier guns, etc.), and even getting the chance to unlock some items requires you to get lucky and have an NPC that sells new items show up to be freed. Rat runs kind of fix this issue since you can fight something hard relatively early, and you're usually set up to be a room clearing machine afterwards, but even that gets stale.

ETG is still tons of fun even after unlocking all the achievements. 300 hours into a game is nothing, as this game has tons of replayability. I'm having tons of funs just doing blessed runs all the time and getting random guns. I even play some coop on parsec with random people for even more fun. Not to mention you can mod the game and do pretty much whatever you want; the amount of things to do is great. Go discover some synergies, go find some friends to play with, or just dont play the game. If you're bored of the game, you're probably doing the same thing over and over (like only playing as the bullet lul) and you need some spice in your life.

Fun is subjective, but the point of my post was to point out that some people might not like this game because they find it boring, and I explained why they might find it boring.

I love Enter the Gungeon, but even I know that finding a game boring isn't the same as sucking at a game. I find Rocket League fun, doesn't mean I'm good at it.

Sure fun is subjective, but it can also be objective. Unlike your post, you didn't explain why people might not like playing the game. You explained why YOU find it boring. Can't tell you how many times I've heard "fun is subjective." How do you think games are designed? If you are entertained, then the game has accomplished its goal. Your form of entertainment may vary, which is subjective, but the objective of the game is to generate that entertainment in the first place.

You're using two different meanings of the word "objective" there. It may be the designers' objective to make a fun game, but that doesn't mean the game is objectively fun.

i can bet they play binding of isaac and like isaac's style more than this guns-a-blazing game. wouldn't be too rare of a chance

wouldn't really call it guns-a-blazing, getting guns is really slow and 75% of the time really underwhelming, just played a game and it was the first time in this week of playing I actually got excited about a weapon for once.

when i say 'gunz a blazing', i relate to how actionpacked the game is itself, not the percentage of the guns or what they actualy are and how it adds to the enjoyment factors of the game. i always feel a slight hype rush when playing the game, and when my brain is concentrated on escaping every attack and destroying the challenge ahead. and the gunning aspect of it makes it stand off from the isaac feeling of just crying out your weapon. guns are fast paced, and fire quicker than isaacs slow tears. the guns fire rapidly sometimes, and the artstyle of the guns and the character, and the dodgeroll physics just makes it have that 'shoot everything to hell' feeling

I'm not bad at the game since my reflex are really really good and I have experience on this type of games, but I really don't like this game. It's totally based on RNG, making it stupid, you never really find a gun that is actually useful or better than the default gun (like the Marine's one). That ♥♥♥♥♥♥ book in the menu doesnt explain you anything, there are basically no power ups, Active Skills (or however they are called) are all the same or sooo useless that you even forget they exist. You either have full HP and drown on HP you can't use, or you are 1 HP for an entire floor getting to the Shopkeeper to just find out that he is only selling Keys and Blanks (same thing happens with Ammo). Some enemies' and Bosses' attacks are stupid and they are so random that are not skill-based nor difficult, just stupidly random, it's like they are saying "hey, you are good at this game, then ♥♥♥♥ you, you can't dodge this just because I say so". And when you die, you go all the way back to Floor 1. Even if the levels always look different, they are basically the same, it gets repetitive and boring even in Floor 3+. That's how the game feels to me. Graphics are normal, nothing new. OST is boring, it doesn't help to make the game more enjoyable or epic, just flat music. And not to mention the dodge roll, non sense stuff that lacks mechanics. Overall a very poor game.

They should have put an ammo vending machine who allow to save ammo for later, like for the HP items. It's the answer who could fix almost everything. The main problem of this game is ammo.(it could make possible to change the destiny of a crap run to reach the end by skills). For now, you drop ammo always when you don't need it. And if you don't take them, the rat will take them.

I think this feature could solve many problem in this game. It will not fix the boss who have attack badly made but it will help a lot.

Hollow Knight boss are really better and Dodge roll team should learn from them.

There is also the luck system who is crappy. Since there is a "good gun" limit droprate, there should be a "Bad gun" limit droprate. The drop in this game is completely broken, sometimes, you drop good item on good item and you roll others mobs, sometimes, you just drop crap for ten runs and you die trying to finish the run.

People like finishing games, reaching the ending. Give them the opportunity to try please. You can be entertained, but if you want to keep the audience, you need to make the player feeling having a progression during his runs.

Exit the gungeon have the same issues than Enter the gungeon. And it's sad because both are good game, really nicely designed with good storytelling idea.
