No more Content?

Is it true? Is there nothing more to come? or is it already this big?

from what I've seen there'll be no more updates, the devs have said it's extremely hard to not only deal with years-old code but adding things without breaking the balance of all of the prior content

I wouldn't get my hopes up, unless the devs themselves announce something new (which i find unlikely)

Honestly I'm not sure what else even could be added if they did somehow manage to add something, everything seems fine content wise since its RNG based anyway.

Some months back they tweeted "pew pew" and people started wondering if they meant something was coming, but I haven't kept up so I don't know if anything came of it.

The only thing they could really do is more reference content with promotional tie-ins with other games, but the chances of some other studio with a new game wanting to work with Dodgeroll to update this old-ass indie game is preeeetttyyy low.

As it stands, Gungeon has so much content I'm constantly finding guns and items and saying to myself "Ohhh riiiight this exists!" because the variety is already so huge you're liable not to see items for dozens of hours at a time.
