Secret glitch boss?

Not so long ago I stumbled upon secret I guess, I was just playing the game, after I cleared the room green chest appeared " nothing unusual " I thought, but then I noticed that it looked like a visual glitch aka. wrong colour and some textures went off, after I tried to unlock it, it teleported me into the entrerence of boss room, after I entered it, I was against 1 eye monster ( I have no idea how he's called, but he's a reference to DOOM ) he was glitches as well, his name and other letters were glitched as well himself, I was fighting 2 of the bosses, 1 inside of other, I didn't't last long since I had 1 heart.
My question is, what was it? Is it some sort of Easter egg and if I defeated him what wouldve happen?

Nope, only thing more rare than a glitch chest is a rainbow chest.
Glitch chest is always a difficult thing as it happens on the first floors it depends how good you are at the game and/or how good your guns/items are.

When you've beaten the game you want that glitch chest again to try and beat it and won't find it. ^^
So, there you go, you got one rare chest which some people who've played Enter the Gungeon for 150 hours never seen. ;)

Eh, in my filosophy if the chance of an item is 1% or smaller and I get it, I feel good about myself. I don't like using wiki since information can be changed, but I guess I'll give it another shot, again, thank you for helping me. Have a nice day.
