also, as I know, Convict's item that you unlock when beat her Past is briefcase full of cash. If you get it, you get 120 coins instantly (+ some creidts) and then you can sell it for even more coins.
as was correctly noted, go through "secret" (bonus) floor(s). If you are unable to reach Oubliette (failed lockpick on one of locks or didn't find liquid) just restart the run. Reaching Abbey is trickier, you will need skill for that - once again, high risk (one hit and you fail) high reward
Open mirror chest
Buy anything from Ursula (a woman with long black hair)
Use the ammo shrine (the skeleton shrine)
And some item give curse, like Casey, big boy or if you use some spice.
Stay near to a cursed pot
There are a secret way to get a big ammont of curse but you need to kill a past to get it
Woman is called Cursula. Notably, she sells for lower coin prices (real price is cursing you, not robbing) and many items she sells have curse on their own. Also notably that stealing from Cursula gives 1 curse - less than if you buy from her
Aside of ammo shrine, there is also useful Angel shrine. It gives permanent +25% damage bonus and 1.5 curse, but also takes away 1 max heart - hope lies in flawlessing some of bosses
The fact you are cursed by some source can be distinguished by skull effect that appers on your character. Cursed items (most of them are said/shown to be unholy or melee-ish) also have dark aura when they are on ground - throwing them away will remove curse until you pick them up again.
Exact amount of curse is hard to tell, but higher curse increases odds of jammed enemies. 7 curse also allows jammed bosses and odds of jammed enemies are 10%-25%, this is probably the point when you should stop gaining curse in order to not hit ten. Well, if you are really skilled and can live without shops and only need to give money to elevaator guy, you can hit ten...
Don't buy ANYTHING. Try to get to the first secret level. If you can, use the shrine when you start the run. It gives you 9 curse and hella money.
I got 300 muns trying to unlock the shortcut.
