I can get a more consistent run with Hunter, and therefore consider her the superior character.

I'd say Bullet is probably the best character considering how much power he's given right from the start, but I feel like he actively makes me worse at the game, so I don't play him.

I agree with you, with that handsome face, able to carry two active items and that sweet lockpick. Pilot works better for me, The issues with the bad gun don't really matter after you defeated the first boss.

Or once you get a different gun/Good item from a Chest
All of his problems are solved after the first floor

the hunter is the best char. she has a crossbow that one shots most enemies in floor 1-2 and she has a dog that gives free loot. never run out of keys or ammo again.

I use to play hunter before getting tired of not being able to open chests (Becuz I go to the oubillete)

The dog that give’s free loot gives it 5% of the time.
Meaning unless your super lucky you will run out of key’s.
The trusty lock pick may ♥♥♥♥ you 50% of tje time but a coin flip is better then something ten time’s as less likely.

Also the crossbow starts good but falls off fast. Unlike say the pilots discount which increases the longer the game goes.
Plus the Pilots 10% ammo stacks with other ammo ups I do believe.

Bullet is unquestionably the best character. Blasphemy does the highest damage of any starting weapon. It's AOE. It erases enemy bullets. It deals double damage when at full health (sort of). It's literally the only starting weapon that is viably usable throughout the entire game. Bullet also gets to be immune to all collision damage. And his dodge-rolls deal enough damage to actually be a usable attack. He can even weave Blasphemy swings and dodge-rolls together to slightly increase his DPS.

Problem with robot is he has a super high skill floor due to his rare HP pool.
He get’s benefits from a ton of items but he looses out on fallen angel shrines, most master round benefits (would it kill you to give us 2 per master round not 1?), and the game loves to troll you with a bunch of red heart pick ups and heart container items.
Also I swear the next time I play the robot it’s gonna spawn the medic ladies and vampire on the same floor.

soon as this game gets real mod support so i can actually get a decent amount of passive elemental effects i will go out of my way to beat the game with only the marine sidearm, just to ♥♥♥♥ on all you nonbelievers.
