gioteck wx4 controller issues

ok so i have a problem.. the controller is recognised as a nintendo switch pro controller which is good. The controller then proceeds to work in the menus in game. Then once game loads and i try to move my character but nothing happens.

I can move the camera with the right stick though and select my character with the A button.
As i cannot move with the controller i try the keyboard and it works just fine so its not the computer or game but something to do with the controller or settings... Please help!
