Killing the Lich with one shot (without mods)
Two days ago I had an amazing run hoarding great damage boosting passives. I one-shot killed the last few bosses. I was curious to see how often this happens and to my surprise I couldn't find a video of anyone doing it, even with mods. Here's a few minutes of recording of the last 2 chambers where you can see the Dragun and the Lich falling to a single shot.

It can be bypassed if you deal over 1K damage in a single hit. I've one-shot bosses with Makeshift Cannon and a few damage boosts before.

I’ve done that! Using Spice and the 6th Chamber. I’m not sure if Spice stops giving you damage at some point but the 6th chamber ensures it keeps going up. And all the enemies being jammed makes sure you have the money to buy ALL the Spice from vendors

@e.bkapalka Interesting. I've had a couple of games with 4 spice, confirming what the wiki says - between the 1st and the 4th use of spice, the probability of it appearing is greatly increased. So how do you keep on getting spice after that?

It just keeps dropping. You can keep taking hits of Spice until you die. They will stack in your active slot too. I've carried up to 8 Spice at once before. Past the fourth use, each Spice will increase your damage at the cost of max health and accuracy.

It eventually dwindles you down to one heart and then it stays there no matter how much you get. I think I got 4 spice from RR and found a demon door where every vendor had at least one. I probably had used fifteen or more, I wish it said somewhere

Every boss has a damage cap. This damage cap however gets ignored by 2 weapons which are yari launcher and makeshift cannon (and maybe gold junkan though further testing is required).
It is also ignored once a single projectile deals more than 1000 damage. This can of course only be done with certain guns and a lot of damage ups.

The easiest way to break the damage cap with high damage would be to use the rad gun with super hot watch and metronome and a bunch of other damage ups.

Other methods are a spice overdose and the blessing and a curse synergy with enough curse and Luck to get a jammed boss.
Getting duplicated meatbuns works as well as long as one is consumed before picking up the other one.
The rarest occurance in the game which grants you quadrupled damage for the rest of your run may also help breaking the damage cap.

Some myths debunked: Ductapping guns to eachother doesnt do ♥♥♥♥ to the damage cap.
Even if you ducttape weapons onto yari launcher and makeshift cannon only the original projectiles of the weapons ignore the cap.
this works vice versa ducttaping both weapons onto something else wont rid their ability to break the cap.
Past Bosses actually dont have a damage cap.
Spice Cant kill you. If you have 1 heart left and consume spice you stay at 1 heart.
However you wont get additional Hearts until The ammount of "lost" containers is refilled.
Meatbun may or may not have stupid way of interacting with its own damage buff.
Further testing required.

EDIT: the most common way to break the cap is by hitting the chancellors of the bullet kings into them with casey.

This can actually work with every boss if you keep the chancellors alive.

Interesting observation re: spice. In my current game I got one on floor 1 and then one in Abbey (sold by Bello for 90 shells). I told myself - this is going to be my spice run. From that point, through chambers 3, 4, 5, 6 and then after using Clone chambers 1, Oubliette, 2, Abbey - not a single Spice. That's 8 floors total. Sigh.

I've had this happen mostly running the slinger, usually towards the end of my runs. I think it was with Polaris lol. Certain guns can bypass the DPS cap but I've shot bosses with things that definitely SHOULD NOT have instant killed them and it did, it was incredibly perplexing to me lol.

What spice? lmao. No spice to be seen here (Made it my goal to just consume as much as possible). The great thing is you won't lose more health once you are at one heart ;)
