So in order to complete the Ammonomicon, I need to beat Cultist's past? Seriously? :( My brother never played it as well as all my friends... Rip finished gun.

I just unlocked the sunlight javelin in a solo game right now. It happened when I beat the dragun as the gunslinger. Not sure if there was any other specific criteria involved or not.

I found it randomly after doing the same thing yesterday and obtained it in a run just now (forgot to take the bullet that can kill the past and couldnt get my last alt gun skin) It melts bosses.

The only thing of note I have accomplished is killing a past.. one single past.

maybe the Devs realized what they did and gave everyone the javelin as an apology?

Try Dog, or Blank Companion. Those are the most likely ones to work.
P.S. I know you did it, just leaving this here for others that come across this.

None of those worked with me, even having 8 companions didn't helped

Would just like to add that I had dog and wolf in the run where I unlocked the javelin.

apparently you can get the javelin if you kill the high dragun with a companion like the wolf or r2g2. basically try to have them deal the final blow or something and I think the javelin will be unlocked. I had r2d2 when it unlocked for me.

Never even booted up co-op mode and I have number 2 and the finished gun.

Is there an alternate unlock for number 2? The only way I got it was completing the Cultist's past (pretty recently). Sunlight javelin can definitely be unlocked solo.
