Can we drop armor?

I kinda need it to fix the 3rd elevator.....but I'm not THAT gud to not get hit at all in first 2 gungeons.

OR is there any way to reliably get armor at all?

You'll have some runs that you'll be stacked with armor—look for the Gungeon Knight Armor pieces. Or just play a bunch with the Robot...lol

No way to drop armor that I know of.

Also, The Rat steals armor if you don't pick it up.

I thought to use the Marine (Free 1 armor to start with), is the Pilot much better at that?

Pilot is the best option for discounts to buy armor I guess I'll try to save money and with luck the shop in second chamber will sell armor plus if got more lucky the boss drop armor too "always left boss for last"

There are a few items to gain armor but I guess the best is nanobots

Marine starts with 1 so you can try to be lucky!

PD: As everyone told you there is no way to drop armor so u have to risk also rat steals armor

Pilot is the best at stockpiling in this game. As you play him and take advantage of his discounts, lock pick, and extra active item space, you'll understand why gathering stuff for the elevator missions is much easier with him.

Sorry if you're already aware of this, but if you do get a armor drop when you've cleared a room consider running to the adjacent room and then hurrying back and scare the rat away. Doing this will allow you to clear all adjacent rooms without the rat stealing the armor (if you wander more than 1 room away he'll steal it). Just don't forget about it afterwards, like I always do

I managed to get that quest when the floor 2 boss gave me 2 peices of armor and there was one in the shop.

basically, try not to get hit, don't buy armor until you beat the boss, hope the boss drops armor.

....this 3 armor requirement is killin me. Keys and casings I can do, but i'm not a shmup god to be dodging everything for a whole floor.

wait till you get to the fith chamber shortcut. you need 6 full heart containers.

You can either play well and get lucky as the marine/pilot, or play as the robot and only have to rely on your personal skill until you get to the tailor.

If you find armor in the shop on the floor before wait till after you kill the boss to buy it, then hope you get enough on the next floor. I used marine on that run too :-p

That, and you can try your luck with the lock pick. if it fails, then just quick restart.
