Gnawed Key. Bug or working as intended?

I just managed myself to steal the Gnawed Key.

When I reach the 3º floor i cant see the trapdoor, in my last rooms I can see it perfectly becouse even appears in the minmap.

Working as intended becouse I stole the key? Or bug?

PD: I also have the ballon weapon... and maybe that was my mistake

The trapdoor has to be exposed either through blanking the room or armor breaking in it OR by walking over the place where the trapdoor is over and over until the dust comes off and it is revealed. You probably know, but the trapdoor is always in the room with little rat critters scurrying around.

You can also uncover it with any liquid in the game, so the water gun can find it no problem.

As I said, i check the room with rats and all of them in the floor and there is no trapdoor :( I read this in the wiki:

"Having flight stops the player character from moving dust while flying, making it impossible to clear the dust from the entrance to the Resourceful Rat's Lair. Items granting flight may be dropped temporarily to uncover the hatch"

The only thing i can think its a bug and the trapdoor dont spawn for some reason like "key stoled" or enter in the room with the trapdoor flying making it dont spawn :(

Stealing the key should make no difference since you can find the trapdoor even without a key

Well thanks to all for the comments, as I said before: I think enter in the trapdoor room flying makes it to dont spawn "becouse i also walked in the room a lot looking for the trapdoor with the main weapon and stills nothing"

Or was a bug :(

You need to be walking. Drop whatever causes the flight temporarily as you uncover the enterance next time.

I did it too with the main weapon and nothing, but thanks

You have to walk around the room until you find a spot where your character is kicking up more dust than usual. Walk back and forth over that spot until the trap door becomes visible.
