For getting to the Resourceful Rat's Lair..
I've read the last note can only be gotten from a mimic. Should I just grind the first floor for mimics until I get it?

Pray to the statue at the start, and grind the first floor, yeah. Also, if you feel confident, activate Turbo Mode, so it goes a bit faster.

I'm already on Turbo Mode, can't play without it at this point, and.. What!? Since when has the statue done something? What does it do???

since the beginning. it gives 9 curse. more curse = higher chance for mimic

You're kidding. As soon as you start the game, you can do that?

Yes, and no. You need to kill the character's past you are playing.

So if you've beaten the past of the pilot, for exemple, you can now pray at the statue to get >NINE< curse directly. ( so, each chest should be a 19-20% chance be a mimic. )

Ooooh! I only ever checked before i'd beaten any- I only recently (got good enough to, I guess) beat even one past, and after that it was kinda just one after the other.

Congratz!

Well, this statue is used for people who find the game too easy.
...But, it actualy help : Mimic = chest with no key. Jammed ennemies = more money.

So it's a win-win situation. ( But god help you if you fall against a jammed dragun or lich. )

Oh god, Jammed Dragun sounds like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare. I haven't even seen the Lich yet, I haven't beaten the Dragun since getting all four pasts (I only got the Marine today, actually.) I'd have the bullet to do IF I DIDN'T KEEP KILLING RED-CAPED BULLET KIN ON ACCIDENT!

I also actually didn't know Jammed enemies dropped more money until today, noticing I was getting WAY more money using that 9 curse thing. Does that apply to Jammed boss credits too? The only Jammed bosses i've encountered so far have been a Jammed Smiley, a Jammed Cannonbalrog, and a Jammed Gorgun (Which I didn't beat.) I didn't really notice a difference but i think they've changed they way credits are dispensed anyway?

No, jammed boss don't give more money, sadly.

However, killing a jammed boss for the first time do give an unlock.

Also, the reason curse give more money is, if you kill a jammed monster, anything, even the smallest slime, they have a very huge chance ( almost 100% ) to give you money/casings.

I remember having a 11-curse run, and i gained 450 gold/casing in the last 2 floor..

Ah, well that sucks! Though, I guess that's probably so you can't grind credits.

it is also notable that some bosses namely the trigger twins, kill pillars and the lich can potentially screw you over the most since every entity has its own chance for being jammed. on the same note: once you have 10 curse the percentage for an enemy and boss being jammed stays 50% even if you get more curse.
