Why is blank buddy so bad

I enter a Wall boss fight . He blanks before any bullets are even in the room . I'm at half a heart and getting swarmed , and he just stands there like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot . Why Dodgeroll , why? Also , I was melting the Wall with Luxin Cannon and Gun Friendship . My point is , he blanks at the wrong times and doesn't blank at the right ones . He needs atleast a small buff .

You mean the Blank Companion's Ring?

It only activates a blank effect when you use an active item.

Yup. Get the blank companion's ring early -> grab the tv -> win. Just be mindful of the companion ring's cooldown, and try not to lose the tv.

But yeah, the blank companion's ring is highly dependent on what active item you have. If you have a long DPS cooldown like the Potion of Gun Friendship or something he's not super useful, and if you have something like the Potion of Lead Skin then he's effectively useless. But then if you get the compass he turns it into an elder blank with a way shorter cooldown, so...
