No guns on the first floor.

This only happened once but it still happened. As you know, there are two chests on each floor, one gun, one item, passive or active. What happened to me on the first floor is that they were both brown chests and neither had a gun. One of them had a sponge, the other the gas mask. No guns in shop.

What are the chances of this happening?

It was still a lucky run, since i found a plague pistol in the hidden room that syncs with the gas mask, easily becoming my most used gun that run.

That's weird, the only possible way to not get any guns on the first floor is that you opened a chest that has a passive or active and you got a golden chest which gave you a passive/active item to synergize with the other item.

I had a run one time where both floor 3 chests were green, and both dropped guns. One had Cold 45, the other had Blooper. Very strange.

I think the only time you are actually guaranteed a gun is if you defeat the boss of a floor without picking up a new gun yet on that floor.

One chest is 'always' a gun while the other is 'always' a passive. I put that in quotations because both guns and passive items can be randomly replaced by active items, I've gotten two actives on the first floor before, bloody let down.

I had a room filled with 3 brown chest mimics... Fought them all at the same time, but killed them at different points. (Because of time saving and fun.)

All 3 of them dropped Sense of Direction.

Atleast you didnt get 3 brown chests that all dropped some health...
