3+ Player Multiplayer Support?

I would very much love to be able to play this in groups of 3 or 4 at local parties or multiplayer over Parsec, and as I see this game is moddable I am curious if there is currently any mod out there that allows 3-4 players? I tried searching it myself but it made me a little skeptical that not only could I not find a mod supporting this but I couldn't find a single request for it either, which I assume would be a popular request, so it left me thinking possibly I just missed it somehow. I'm willing to see if I can just copy paste another co-op character in and raise enemy health and drop rates by 33% but I just wanted to make sure I won't waste 3 or 4 hours doing so only to later find out something already exists. i dont think this would be possible with just parasec and normal gungeon. a 3rd/4th player mode isn't in the game code, and even then parasec COULD be buggy with 4 players. idk really since i haven't played with the thing before, but im sure that there isn't a 4th and 3rd player, and there aren't any mods that are widely known to be able to add in a 3rd or 4th player option, otherwize the feature would have been known widely.


also i doubt just copying the co-op char would work. you'd also somehow need to mod the game in a way so that it can accept a 3rd controller instead of glitching out and controlling 2 chars with 1 controller like i've seen happen in other games (particularly Stick Fight The Game, though not exactly).

I’ve done 4p Rocket League over Parsec before without anyone complaining about issues there, and I have some experience in P2P multiplayer and how it works in Unity so I’ll see what I can do. The game is moddable and is only peer to peer so I’m sure this will be possible and maybe I’ll release a version of it if this goes without too many issues ;)

+1 4 player would be awesome like in the similar game Monsters and Monocles or the Nuclear Throne 4 player mod.

I couldn’t figure it out but I quickly gave up. I think it’s possible if someone more skilled and patient than myself were to give it a shot.

I think they could develop a mod for 3 or 4 players locally, although the Custom Character mod should be necessary so that there are not several cultists
