Yes he has for me as well.
Yep you said it. Once I learned this I haven't lost to him since beyond some health. Still I do avoid him if possible because I don't find his rewards are worth the fight.
To replay to OP tho, a big tip is to dodge roll only when absolutely necessary. Rely more on just weaving through attacks, you can get some bad patterns but generally speaking it's a lot easier than it sounds. Fuselier actually doesn't have *that* much more health than other mini bosses, he's just harder to hit. If you have a beam weapon, use it. He'll usually die relatively quick to one assuming you're not hitting him with a Gamma Ray or something. Also, I dunno if this helps at all, but Fuselier is the only mini-boss to have an icon on the minimap before discovering him, at least in my experience, so you can kinda prepare yourself.
-fast shot speed
-spread weapon with high range.
-homing
Those weapon are the best to actualy hit him, since he goes quite fast, it can be hard to aim with any other weapon.
As mentionned, always go to the far left or fight side of the arena. Be sure to have a fast weapon in hand when he summon his minion, to quickly clear them out. Don't be afraid to use a blank if you feel like the summon are badly placed.
