Boxing Glove shouldn't prevent drops when using the 3-star punch
I dislike using this thing because I don't get casings from things I super punch. It also prevents key kin from dropping keys, the red item kin from dropping anything, and mimics from dropping items. I have no idea why this weapon has such a big penalty tied to it, but I don't think it should be there.

Lower the damage to make it balanced or raise the tier, just do something to make the super not worthless unless you hate being able to afford keys.

maybe because it does 200 base damage. just dont superpunch item things. also, its a C-class weapon. its not that its a good weapon with fallbacks, its just an average weapon thats been balanced.

I wouldn't mind having its damage reduced to compensate. Apart from the super punch, there's very little reason to use the weapon. It has a range shorter than most shotguns and does pretty mediocre damage. The stun is nice, but it hardly matters with all the other disadvantages, imo. Also, everything has the potential to drop casings, which are important.

i mean, it is a C class weapon. if you made the superpunch 100 base damage and removed the drop removal then it would probably go up to a B class, which its not meant to be. and if you lower the base damage even more, then it would be a C class weapon, but it might sestroy the purpose because the superpunch would suck. i dunnow, i kinda agree, but im trying to see the other side of the arguement.

I'd 100% be okay with it being made a B, or even an A tier weapon. I just think it's incredibly silly how the best thing the weapon has going for it prevents you from getting money. That's probably one of the harshest penalties a weapon can have, IMO, oustide of outright damaging the player, but even then that might be preferable. I don't like using the Bracket Key for this reason, either, but at least that's just a side effect of preventing additional enemy waves.

well, if its a C tier, then they wanted it to be a C tier. when you boil it down your kinda just asking for this weapon to be buffed,

Well, yes, I am asking for a buff. I'd be okay if the super punch only did like 50 damage or so, I'd be fine with them adjusting tier to make it rarer, just something to make it worth using. The entire point of me making this thread is to say that, in its current state, the super punch has almost no value because of how harsh the penalty is. It's not worth the trade off of damage if you're not getting casings for it. Any value this weapon has is completely negated because of that

Was this a recent change? I could swear I've killed Mimics with the super punch and still gotten drops.

I don't know about recent, but I know the money/key/item drops were always there. I'm pulling the mimic bit from the wiki, where it literally says mimics killed with the super punch will not drop items/guns.

This must be a bug. This is such a ridiculous downside. It shouldn't be there. The gun's not even that good.
